Part II - All India
This part provides All India information on demography, infrastructure,
media & a statewise map.Followed by 411 districts, covering 24 states & 7 union territories. These have been graded and listed in descending order of market potential (MPV). The same have been marked on five All India maps according to their grade. There is one map showing the districts of each grade Metro, A , B and C and one composite map.

Part III - Snapshot : Comparison of states
Information across key indicators viz. demography, state domestic product, energy, transport, communication and banking, have been given in a tabular format to aid an " at-a-glance " view.

Part IV - Districts by States / Union Territories
This part provides a wealth of detailed information on each district.
District information is preceded by a state profile covering information on demography, infrastructure and media.
A state map shows districts by their MPV grade and location of major towns. The map highlights rail and road network in the state.Districts within a state are ranked in descending order of MPV. The corresponding All India ranking of every district is also indicated.
To help in selecting markets for products and services meant for agriculture and industry the following two tables are provided.
a.      Share of each district to state prosperity in agriculture, industry and infrastructure.
b.      Contribution of agriculture, industry and infrastructure to district prosperity.
This two way understanding of each district is vital for selecting markets for special category products.

Apart from these other tables cover

c.       Availability of infrastructue like banks , bank deposits , credits , fuel consumption, hospitals and hospital beds.

d.        Dispersion of print media and cinema media , urban population and literate population by districts.

e.         Media Exposure Indices for each district and for each media

Urban centres in each district by state, arranged according to town class based on population.

Population Stratification by MPV
This classification serves as a ready reckoner and highlights the obvious advantages of a "district-centred" plan over an "urban-centred" plan. It gives the structure of each state by grade of the district and number of towns and villages in each townclass and villageclass.

Class I towns - All India
300 towns with population more than 1 lakh have been graded and listed in descending order of population. In addition for these towns - the population, literate population, occupied residential houses and main workers have also been given.

Banking statistics provided for 150 towns

Transport statistics available for top 23 cities
